Professional Experience
Ms. Seitter has a wide variety of expertise in nursing prior to becoming a nurse educator. She was a staff RN in the areas of medical/surgical nursing, pediatric nursing, and post-anesthesia care nursing. She has also been a nurse manager for the same day procedures unit and gastrointestinal procedures unit at Abington Memorial Hospital.

Professional Awards and Recognition
Ms. Seitter is a member of the National League for Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. She is the recipient of the Joseph T. Beardwood Award for medical/surgical nursing. She received the 2002 Williamson Award in recognition of employee contributions and service to Abington Memorial Hospital's patients and staff. She has also been named as an Abington Memorial Hospital Ambassador and has received a Nursing Excellence Award.

Nursing Education As A Career
Ruth Seitter chose to advance her career as a nurse educator because she loves learning and believes that learning is a life-long endeavor. She is committed to learning and nursing education. She enjoys being able to mentor and motivate students.
