Valerie McCormick is a faculty member and clinical instructor. She is course coordinator for NUR 301: Nursing care of the family for the evening/weekend option. She also teaches NUR 201: Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing I. She is a member of the Curriculum and Systematic Plan of Evaluation Committees.

Professional Experience
Valerie has over 14 years experience in the field of pediatric nursing. She has worked in various settings from hospital to home care. Her nursing experience consists of working with developmentally delayed and underprivileged children. She is also a pediatric nurse practitioner, with most recent experience in pediatric gastroenterology and liver transplantation. She currently practices as a nurse practioner in a primary care setting.

Professional Awards and Recognition
Valerie holds certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Personal Interests
She enjoys sharing her knowledge and mentoring the next generation of nurses.
